WHAT
WE DO
ARYPT takes young people on residential camps, day trips and pilgrimages.
ACTIVITIES & PROJECTS.
The Trust brings children to Alton Castle for a Christmas residential every year and a weeks holiday camp in the half term. The children who come have faced many hardships, for some facing challenges that no child should have to face.

The Trust also supports young people to experience the Pilgrimage to Lourdes, we have ran day trips, youth masses and support regular parish youth provision in the city of Coventry.
Holiday
Camp
The Andrew Robinson Young People's Trust raises money to send children in our Catholic schools to Alton Castle, for a 5-day Holiday Camp. For the children chosen this is free of charge and a very exciting opportunity.
The Camp includes: activities at Alton Castle such as biking and climbing, plus a day trip to Gulliver’s World, Nerf Zone, an inflatable arena called JUMP, a day out to White Post Farm to encounter and feed all the animals, learn about animal care and ride the tractor. Activities also include a movie night with popcorn!, laser quest, dinner out to a restaurant , plus a Youth Mass and night prayer each evening. We also have a tuck shop and plenty of treats.
The camps are run by our incredible volunteers who are staff from schools, parish or ARYPT Volunteers. They are all DBS checked and have much experience in working with young people.
The Trust also tries to encourage junior leaders to grow its volunteer base and offers three places each camp for young people willing to volunteer for 5 days to work with ARYPT. These young people are often children who have encountered an ARYPT opportunity for themselves and wish to give something back.
Parish Youth
Provision
With your donations and support the Trust is able to give small programme grants to parishes in deprived areas. This enables children with ARYPT to not only meet together on one off occasions, but to meet regularly in parishes taking part in a fortnightly programme with dedicated volunteers.
Each youth group session includes games, activities, prayer, and the opportunity to be part of a regular Christian community.
Christmas
Residential
This really special Christmas weekend is packed with: outdoor and indoor activities, games, a Christmas meal, a Christmas party and a visit from Santa with a sack full of presents.
The weekend focuses on the theme of Christmas and the coming of Christ, the youth mass is always a real highlight with the beautiful chapel covered in fairy light s and singing and music that is in itself a joy to encounter.
It is always a great and exciting opportunity for any young person who takes part. There is always a wow factor when the children arrive in the evening and see Alton Castle all lit up with Christmas lights, the decorations swinging from the rafters and the smell of the home cooked food filling the corridors. A special memory never to be forgotten.
Day Trips to
Drayton Manor
This day is always a special experience for the volunteers as it directly follows the work of Andrew Robinson as he himself raised money and led these day trips.
The day always begins with a youth mass, minibuses collect from different parts of Coventry, and we all gather at St Marys and St Benedict’s the first home for the work of the Trust. Volunteers pack picnics and drinks and journey with the children all day in small groups.
Together we ride roller coasters, laugh, scream when it’s scary and race from coaster to coaster. Many volunteers buy the children ice creams or hot chocolate depending on the British weather and the Pic and Mix is always wonderfully donated by a parish priest.
Time is such a valuable gift to give to a child and the day trip is a fun day for any child with the Andrew Robinson Young People’s Trust.
